Our garage door screw mechanism was so loud I was embarrassed to use the door. I used to use a silicone screw lube spray which was very messy and only lasted a few days. I bought this lube and found it easy to apply with no dripping like the spray lube I used. Garage doors run almost as quietly today as they did 15 years ago when they were new. A small tube contains the amount of lubricant required for one application. Easy to use and saved me from buying a new garage door opener which I wanted to do due to the noise. I have used the spray silicone method several times a year with poor results. I just want to show that it's much wiser to do a little research and then use the right solution for the application than to do what "should" work based on limited knowledge. We hope our garage door opener will last for many years to come if you use the right product to ensure it runs smoothly. I'm glad I finally found out. Terry from Texas
