I have a 2006 Benz 350SLK. The replacement cost at a local dealer in northern New Jersey was pathetic, so I decided to buy this pair of racks and with my neighbor's help I found them easy to replace. Just twist the metal brackets with a screwdriver and you can remove the old racks. First I attached the bottom piece and then with the help of my neighbor moved the trunk lid back far enough to insert the new brace into the top one at a time. Absolutely simple process with a second pair of hands. Don't try to do it yourself as it's impossible to move the decklid 3/16" and insert the brace yourself at the same time. Hope this helps.
