The perfect combination with the original set.

I have a 2006 Benz 350SLK. The replacement cost at a local dealer in northern New Jersey was pathetic, so I decided to buy this pair of racks and with my neighbor's help I found them easy to replace. Just twist the metal brackets with a screwdriver and you can remove the old racks. First I attached the bottom piece and then with the help of my neighbor moved the trunk lid back far enough to insert the new brace into the top one at a time. Absolutely simple process with a second pair of handsโ€ฆ

Works perfectly. for parts

The old ones on my R171 SLK definitely gave me a few headaches. The new ones not only keep the deck's lid up, but open it fully after you've opened the lid about 80%. Easy to replace. I had no problems with the strut compression. Once you can easily remove the rubber bumper from the hinge with your fingers, you can open the cover wide enough to insert the new posts by first inserting the top ball on the stem into the post socket. I've removed the clips with a small screwdriver on the old onesโ€ฆ

Excellent Mercedes Replacement Lifting Legs

My Mercedes SLK 350 trunk was getting harder and harder to lift. I found that the lifting legs were starting to fail. I ordered these BOXI jacks and installed them the same day I received them. Installing one of these was a little tricky as you had to open the trunk as wide as possible while you engaged the prop. It was difficult for one person to do both, so I enlisted my wife's support. We both made it in minutes. Now the trunk can be opened easily. They worked fine. Even with a littleโ€ฆ

5 minutes EASY installation with a flathead screwdriver!

I replaced this part in my (Mercedes-Benz SLK350 2005 - Base - 3.5L V6 Petrol - 2-Door Convertible). It was MUCH easier than I ever expected. (Also, I'm not that strong, so it's not a "hard" job.) First, DO NOT remove the fastener. You do not need. Just follow these instructions: - Open the trunk! (But be careful - maybe prop it up with a broom or something - I just held it with my bare shoulder) - Pry off the clasp attached at the bottom. it doesn't need to be torn off completely, just aโ€ฆ

good price, works well.

A nice set, almost indistinguishable from the factory sets. I bought them and installed them on my 2005 MB SLK55 AMG. It took me 20 minutes because I didn't know some of the tricks specific to my car. For those buying these for their SLK55 or SLK series, remove the rubber bumpers and then the plastic covers holding the rubber bumpers from one of the arms. . You will need to use a flathead screwdriver to remove the plastic cases. They are strong, but be careful not to break them - The trunk lidโ€ฆ

Simplified installation instructions

I replaced the luggage racks in the trunk (for a Mercedes 2008 SLK 280) with another brand, not BOXI, less than half a year ago. You have failed less than in this time. The first ones were unbranded but looked like an exact replacement for the factory storage racks but were clearly inferior to them. The BOXI units were cheaper and claimed a "Limited Lifetime Warranty", but I'm not sure what that actually means. Here's a tip: the instructions that came with the stands state that you should use a
