In July 2004, just a month after I received the 140 QD CG camera, it began to bind when I pulled out the zoom lens. It made a series of horrible clicking noises when I pulled it out or tried to pull it back in. I put in a fresh battery (again), tried again -- jammed, didn't rewind the film at the end of the roll, all photos gone. Boxed it up, sent it back to Olympus at my expense and got it back about 3 weeks later with a photocopied piece of paper - no letter explaining the repair or problem - just the diagram of the film sleeve, the yellow one is highlighted and all, what I could understand - for lack of information they tried to tell me that I loaded the movie wrong. Does this cause the zoom lens and lens cap to stick, click and take blurry photos? I do not think so. So when I got back from the factory I tried again and the camera ran for about a month - - same problems came back in December - - after a few rolls of film, photos still fuzzy, zoom lens stuck, lens cap tucked in. Haven't decided yet whether to take him back to Olympus and tell them they lost me as a customer or throw him off the highest cliff. Don't waste your money on this product. It was disappointing to learn that Olympus doesn't seem to care about communicating or making things right. This was my first and last Olympus product although I've heard a lot about it.
