Hawk Ceramic Brake Pads for 427 Corvette

Although the OEM brake pads performed great, the brake dust was out of control. I had a detailed car and after taking a few shots I wanted to drive it. I rode it around our area for about 5 miles and by the time I got home I could already wear a thin layer off the wheels. After about 10 miles I was able to do the same with the bodywork behind the front wheels. It's also time to give the front end a good clean. After researching the topic online (many people have the same problem) and trying a few remedies, I couldn't take it anymore so I bought Hawk one-piece ceramic pads. I can only say that the problem has been solved. The new pads didn't eliminate brake dust (after all, friction is what we depend on to stop it), but reduced it by about 95%. Now I'm cleaning the front and rear pads together, but I might swap out the rear ones. In terms of performance, I couldn't feel or see any drop. It seems to me that there is almost no reduction. One day I'll follow up and find out, but what a great investment in Hawk pads! At OEMs I went from Artic White to "Dusty" Artic White! Great that I now have Artic White!
