*** As always, I purchased this product with my own money and paid the asking price plus tax. Also, I have nothing to do with anyone who might make a dime for doing it. I also have no relationship with anyone associated in any way with a competing product. *** They fit a lot of closed trailers with those crazy torx-like 8 point screws. Has anyone else discovered that there appears to be a worldwide conspiracy against the sharing of information about these screws and the right bit needed to work with them? This beat is finally over 3 weeks of frustratingly difficult research and online shopping attempts. For some reason everyone will send you a SQUARE beat. I even contacted the manufacturer of my trailer directly and they even sent me a SQUARE racket - free of charge. Properly sized square bits will fit, but they only bite halfway through the screw interface and will instantly rip off any other screw you try to use them on. I've already done all the work to find out without the help of the trailer industry. Get these VEGA Double Square 8 Sided Bits and you're done. They bite from all 8 directions and get the job done without loosening the screw. I really can't explain why trailer manufacturers don't switch to a more common propeller or at least fit 2 such bits in every trailer. AND PLEASE. Everyone passes the word so others don't have to go through what I did to understand it.
