Garbage - high insertion loss

I believe this thing has variable impedance, but I don't have a $100,000 S-parameter test kit to prove it. What I do know is that when this cheap Chinese PoS clone is inserted into the antenna line, I can't receive anything above 750MHz. If an identical looking (how about!) spark gap from a well-known brand is substituted in their place, the same signals will pass easily. It has a central through pin to the center pin. It is open from the center pin to the body. 6GHz?!? Do not make me laugh. DO NOT BUY. I banged my head against the wall trying to figure out why my SDR software wasn't working and finally traced the problem back to this device.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
