These latest drives have a thin piece of aluminum foil on top to protect the drive mechanism from the elements. 45 days after installing 4 of them in RAID they all failed. Western Digital treats all drives purchased through Revain as OEM and does not warrant them. Revain only has a 30 day return policy so 4 discs go in the trash. I used to work for Western Digital and their quality and design have dropped a lot. Hard drives are fragile, but not that fragile, and a small impact will ruin the drive. There is no protection, and a drive cannot be installed in a soft case. It's garbage.
