I've been using WheelWax, a RimWax competitor, for a long time and getting good results. I decided to try this RimWax for comparison: I coated the wheels with RimWax on one side of my WheelWax truck and on the other side. The cleaning power of both products is comparable and both offer an excellent glossy finish. I have to say that RimWax is MUCH easier to remove than its WheelWax counterpart. I don't find stubborn wax stains that hide in corners for days like WheelWax does. RimWax also claims to last several months, which is what I'm testing right now. WheelWax seems to last a maximum of 2 months and I hope RimWax lasts longer. ** 2 MONTH UPDATE ** Just washed and checked my wheels after 2 months of winter using WheelWax on one side of my truck and RimWax on the other. . The results are clear and distinctive. Just prior to this wash I had my truck muddy and the mud wasn't sticking to the wheels I had with RimWax 2 months ago and the WheelWaxed wheels were completely covered in mud. The dirt was easily washed off the wheels with the RimWax which to me indicates the RimWax is still working. WheelWax is clearly worn out. Not only is RimWax much easier to use (see review above), it also lasts longer than WheelWax in my experience. From now on I will stick with RimWax.
