This is obviously an improvement over the flat grate, but it still clogs too easily. We replaced it with one of the wires.
Just OK. This is obviously an improvement over the flat grate, but it still clogs too easily. We replaced it with one of the wire models sold here under the "Amerimax" brand (also available from Home Depot) and it was much more resistant to clogging (costs more, opens more at top). However, for most people's needs, this is probably fine. The build quality was decent enough.
