Doesn't let water through

I bought it to replace the flat trellis I had in the flower bed. The foliage always covered the grate and blocked it, preventing water from flowing freely. This atrium grill solves this problem. Leaves and plants will not block or clog the trellis due to the unique shape. This grid allows the water to drain and drain as needed. Very happy with my purchase.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • So far so good

Eat clear! on Roofing

This lil booger is just what the doctor ordered. I can't believe contractors aren't using them on corrugated tubing. This keeps parasites away from them. I'll order more soon! Update: They should be molded with teeth around the insert section to snap into place. Their current design allows them to drop right out of 4 inch corrugated tubing. A screw is required.

Pros
  • Beautiful Thing
Cons
  • Modern

Also great as an end protector

Ideal for 4" corrugated plastic tubing. Can be removed if needed but will not fall out. How to: Use a 6-10" flathead screwdriver. Place the grill piece into the Pipe in. Use a screwdriver between the pipe and the grate and slide the grate into the pipe. When it's on, it's on. It will come out (forcibly) when needed.

Simple and effective

Robust and of high quality. Does what it should. For those who might be interested, I use this as a dirt filter on top of a pond level vertical drain. In order not to lose small fish (minnows and juveniles of triploid grass carp). I put in an old popcorn can (bucket) with holes in the top and a few screws on the sides. This allows water to drain from below the surface without clogging the atrium grate with pond algae. farm path. Thanks and Regards

Pros
  • Practical thing
Cons
  • Expensive

Just OK. This is obviously an improvement over the flat grate, but it still clogs too easily. We replaced it with one of the wire models sold here under the "Amerimax" brand (also available from Home Depot) and it was much more resistant to clogging (costs more, opens more at top). However, for most people's needs, this is probably fine. The build quality was decent enough.

Pros
  • Doping πŸ”₯
Cons
  • I have no particular dislikes, everything is fine

great replacement for a "flat " drain

My neighbor has a drain between our houses which we both benefit from. The only problem was that the old "shallow" drain clogged up with leaves and other debris too quickly. Sometimes I had to go out in the rain and clean it up, otherwise I would get a few inches of water reaching my house. Not the best option when I'm not at home or at 3am. I installed this and after a couple of heavy rains we had no problem backing it up. Plus it was half the price of a similar one at the local orange shop.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some small things

Buy these because they really help with clogged grates

A landscaper has suggested them on several places where I have 6" flat round gratings/collectors that collect or channel rainwater. The Flatheads had to be constantly checked for debris blocking the flow. These atrium grilles are PERFECT. Yes, they can still get clogged with grass and dirt in the washing machine, but not as easily (or quickly) as a flat grate. You have enabled stormwater management for a reason. Does not work if the grates are clogged. Get them because they really help!

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

These work great! in Building Materials

I bought these because when it rains heavily my backyard drains (which are lower than they should be) fill up with dirt and debris and then clog, and my backyard floods. We were going on a 3 month trip during the rainy season and I wanted to make sure my backyard didn't get flooded while we were away. Well, according to my neighbor, we had a couple of days of heavy and torrential rain while we were away (she was afraid my pool would flood). When we got home I never thought it would rain so hard

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Unsafe
