Save yourself some time and frustration and purchase some better screws from the hardware store before attempting to install these. See my picture of a ruined screw.After purchasing better screws, installation of these magnet latches was a breeze. Be sure to pre-drill your holes prior to screwing in the screws, otherwise you may snap them (even the good new ones).The hold of these magnets is great -- my 15-pound cats are both unable to open them -- yet they are really easy for humans to open and close.I highly recommend these. I bought sixteen of them in total, and so I needed to purchase about $8 of additional screws from the hardware store. The overall cost was well worth the money.
