I was able to load Raspian Buster (Release 10) onto the 16GB version of this emmc card via the USB SD interface. When I use a USB3.x adapter, the write speed is 24MB and the read speed is 32MB. When I use a USB 2.0 adapter it's 13/19MB each on an old WIN10 PC. Downloaded a Raspian image without recommended software (e.g. minimum GUI image is 3.8GB uncompressed) in about 2 minutes. Good. Loading time on Raspbian 3B (not 3B+) was 13 seconds. Only used it one day so will do some system testing for a while to see how it holds up. Pro - all about Con - The SD adapter forces the emmc module to be below the mounting plane of the 3B board. Not so hot what's up. If you use this with PI 0 it will be vertical as the SD card interface is on the top of the board.
