I'm a self taught TIG welder (and according to my welder I've only had about 45 hours of arc time to date) but I've welded lots of 6xxx, 3xxx and die cast alloy , a significant amount of 304SS, and mild and chromium-moly steel. I started with and still have a fairly large collection of different tungsten alloys to this day, but this 2% Midwestern Lanta has become my favorite tungsten because it welds everything so well. If you haven't already made the switch, buy the 3/32 and 1/16 pack and be amazed by the versatility of TIG welding with just one electrode! I've never had a bad midwest tungsten and they keep every order received, a notification every time the order ships out that the order has been delivered and I'm easy to contact. I am a regular customer and will continue to shop in the Midwest.
