Review on Sharp VCA410U VC A410U 4 Head VCR by Rick Rogers

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not as advertised, but limited usage access.

VCR is not programmable and handset remote control will not connect despite repeated battery changes. I had to purchase an additional remote control from a separate vendor to use the TV's remote access to the VCR controls. upset. After checking the remote control and VCR at a repair shop, the remote control was donated and only the VCR remained. VCR plays correctly but won't eject, turn on or off, pause, doesn't work in FF or RW mode. Therefore my purchase online is limited. However, I remain loyal to Revain and am grateful for the online options it gives me. I love my Revain despite the unscrupulous vendors. I am confident in my experience with Revain but not in my experience with vendors. Some of them are good and ethical sellers, some are not worth a penny. I would give this seller 40% out of a possible 100% as a failed remote was advertised as working, and ejection, power, FF and RWing issues not explicitly shown in the ad. I don't buy digital TV service and get all views via antenna, VCR or collected DVDs. And first of all I keep a VCR because I have videos of my dead children whose parents and husband were not converted to DVD for cost reasons. So when I watch them on video, I use a store-bought VCR. For this. Thank you. Where there is a will, there's a way. God bless everyone because everyone is my family.

Pros
  • 4 head mono VCR with 1 year/8 event pre-programming
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other models
