Review on πŸ•°οΈ Enhanced AM/FM Clock Radio by Akai - Model CE1008 by Bryan Turner

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Regular desktop clock radio

Used on a desk so I can't tell how the alarm clock works. Very compact. Large clock display. As for radio, it gets two stations AM and NPR FM with traffic and weather here in the New York suburbs, so no complaints. The sound is what you would expect from a small speaker that is very basic. I had to look in the brochure to figure out some of the settings. The Time/Dim button sets the time when the radio is off and sets the display to low/high when the radio is on. The tuning/volume button toggles AM/FM bands when held down. A short press switches the -+ buttons from volume to setting. 20 presets for AM and FM is a lot. I say this because if you want to go from station 1 to station 2 and back to station 1 you have to program them odd/even for all presets or you have to press the preset button multiple times to go back to preset 1. We have a Timex radio that works the same way but has 10 presets. I think 5 presets per group would be ideal. Insert 2 AAA batteries to save settings.
