Review on ๐Ÿ”ผ Fantech WC 15 Speed Control & On-Off Switch: Effortlessly Adjust Fan Speed in 115V, 5 Amp Setting! by Roy Niemeyer

WC 15 Speed โ€‹โ€‹Control REALLY SHIT!

I bought a Fantedh FR100 fan and WC 15 speed controller for use in a recording studio where noise reduction and noise reduction is very demanding. I was hoping that if the fan was delivering more air than needed and the speed of the air exiting the duct was making a "whoosh" noise, the speed control could slow the fan down and reduce the noise. Plugging a WC 15 speed controller into the circuit will make the FR100 growl. The mechanical noise generated by the fan jumps up to 6dB above the fan's normal running noise, and the new growl noise is around 240Hz, which is ugly and disastrous during recording. From the labels on the box that the Speed Control came in I was unable to tell if it was an original Fantech approved device or if it was a generic device not manufactured or authorized by Fantec . I couldn't quickly find a phone number or contact online for the Fantech support team. I assumed they expected their distributors to address questions and issues like mine.
