Before I got this build surface I tried almost everything I read about. I've tried regular glass, almost every glue I could find, and many different types of tape. Results ranged from no sticking, puckering mid-run, detaching small parts, and creating a rat's nest out of molten plastic. I had a glass top on my heated bed and decided to put my work surface on top of the glass top so I could remove it without damaging my heated bed. Since installing this build surface, I've printed about two rolls of PLA at 40ยฐC bed temperature and 205ยฐC extruder. The only time a part came loose during printing was when I forgot to turn on the bed heater. Most parts can be easily removed after the bed has cooled down. Some large parts with a lot of surface area on the construction surface I usually slide a razor blade at an angle and it pops out. To maintain the surface, I wipe it down with alcohol before each run. Every few days I scrub vigorously with steel wool and an alcohol pad. My only small issue with the finish is the white print coming off in pieces. I was pretty sharp with fine sandpaper and steel wool and most of the white was gone. The surface still retains detail very well and gives a good finish. With three more on the shelf I think I have a lifetime supply.
