The carpet smelled of strong chemicals.
I really liked this rug until I opened it. It smelled like strong chemicals. I decide to let it air out for 1 week and it still smells like chemicals. I washed it with detergent and baking soda and let it air dry. I still smell like chemicals. So I returned it. In general, the rug was very soft and washed easily in a full size washing machine. I would have kept it, but the chemical smell gave me a headache.
