Great product for the price. When it works, it works great. The biggest problem I have is the temperature tolerance. The last few flights it just wouldn't load no matter what I did. The status light stayed red, WiFi didn't appear. So I gave up. But every time I get home it boots up normally again. It finally dawned on me that it might be the temperature. Today I put it in the fridge for 30 minutes and suspected during the strike, as well as in the field. I let it sit at room temperature for a while and it started again. The temperature at which my block failed to boot was a few degrees above zero. Given that off-the-shelf electronics must be rated for freezing temperatures, I think it's possible that the resistor pair in my device is out of spec. But I would caution people who live in colder climates. If temperatures drop to around -10C, I think more units like mine could fail. Especially if you fly to a cold place, you may arrive fine, but on the way back you will find that you don't have ADS-B. However, it can still work if you warm it up. Once it boots up it seems to be able to warm up.
