I bought this because ATT/Directv and my local channels can't seem to agree on how much I have to pay for channels. I'm using it with a Silicon Dust HDHomeRun quad receiver connected to Plex. Very excited I opened it up, put it in my pocket and scanned the channels. I have 16 channels. The? He didn't even pick up the locals which I missed. According to the FCC database, they are less than 20 miles away. I've disconnected and reconnected, changed locations, hung on the window, etc. No change. I remembered having an old pair of rabbit ears. I found them and tried them. The first attempt got *36* channels in the same spot with 80% signal strength on channels that this antenna wouldn't even pick up. On the advice of several people, I ordered the ClearStream FLEX Antennas Direct, an omni-directional outdoor TV antenna with amplification. Hopefully this will work even better than the piece of wire I'm using now. Returned.
