This large, four-quart sized non stick pan has straight sides and can be used for sauteing but it also is over-safe up to 500 degrees F.The steamer insert is so handy for steamed dumplings or vegetables (broccoli, asparagus) For steamed dumplings I place them on parchment paper to prevent the dough from sticking.The pan has a glass lid and comes with a spatula with a built-in rest on the back to lean it on the counter.This is one of those pans I leave out on the stove and use for nearly anything, from stir fry to frittatas.
