I gave this 2 stars because I like the idea of squeezing lemons flat instead of concave to get more juice. However, it only worked well with 1 lemon half out of 8 lemon halves. I followed the directions, cutting the lemon in half and snipping off the "top" of the lemon from both sides. I placed the cut on the holes and pressed a few times. My lemons were smaller (not as small as limes) and the lemon halves slipped and didn't stay in the center of the holes. This made it difficult to stay still to allow juice to flow through the bottom holes. Part of the lemon side has also been folded. Because the squeezer is much flatter than traditional lemon squeezers, it didn't have a large "cup-like" area to hold the lemon in place. I thought the ribs inside would hold the lemon and "cut" as the manufacturer says, but that didn't work (perhaps a larger lemon would be different?). Then the juice was squeezed out no less than from below on the sides. Juice splattered across my counter. There is a tiny indentation at the bottom with holes through which the juice can drain. However, it easily gets clogged with a few seeds, and the juice doesn't drain well. I had to turn it to the side so the juice left on the top of the lemon dripped into my bowl. I tried 4 lemons (8 halves) and it only worked once. It also wasn't that comfortable to control and grip (at least not for my small hands). I was hoping this would work, but I'm sending it back.
