I just completed the installation on my 2016 f-150 with a 2.75 exhaust pipe. I did not cut the factory pipe, but instead extended this 1.5 inches from the shortest edge of the tip past the old one. The longer side of the tip and the "clip" are on top. The old pipe is not noticeable unless you look for it and only from the driver's side. Went in with no problems, almost thought it was too loose but once I tightened it was fine. After completing the installation, I polished it with stainless steel polish and gave it a nice shine with microfiber to avoid fingerprints, sweaty palms, etc. during installation. At 12 inches long, it hides most of the ugly OEM tailpipe. Looks great and makes the truck stand out very nicely! Now let's see how it stands the test of time.
