We have tried several different brands and styles of arc lighters in the under $20 price range and this is by far the best. We use it primarily for lighting votive candles and the others we have tried start to mislight due to wax contact with the wick and need cleaning every 2 or 3 times while these have been used for lighting 50+ candles a day for the past few weeks was used . without a single misfire and wax/wick issues. ADVANTAGES: - Works every time! No need to clean it every time, no wax problem. BIG PRO!- Super easy to use - power button and fire button are perfectly placed/easy to press. - Flexible extension makes it easy to light candles in unusual shapes/tall holders. - Very light and easy to hold for any hand size. Slightly larger in diameter than a regular ink pen. - Easy to charge and very quick to recharge (in our experience, it takes less than 30 minutes to fully charge). - Blue LED makes it very easy to see when it's time to charge. - Excellent value for money (was around $13 at the time of purchase). CONS: Slightly short battery life if you light a lot of candles frequently. However, this 'downside' is really outweighed by the charging speed and all the 'It just makes' sense - a small/lightweight device means a small battery inside WOULD GIVE THIS 4.75 STARS IF YOU COULD Very happy with this arc lighter and will be one Buy another one to have on hand as a replacement in case of damage or loss.
