Montaro MIPS is a reliable helmet but not the best. In terms of security, he got what he needed. It is true. But I don't think it compares to any of my other Giro helmets over the years when it comes to comfort. The padding initially feels a little thin and the Roc Loc 5 attachment system feels a little too flimsy. To be honest it has relatively sharp edges. Not that they'll cut you, but they can be uncomfortable on long drives. The thin padding and mounts are even more important when using a camera or helmet mounted light, adding extra weight. Other than that, the tear-off camera mount is pretty cool, I just don't use GoPro for cycling. I'm interested in maybe getting a compatible helmet light, which would probably make me love the helmet a little bit more. In general he is reliable. It's just not good for the price paid.
