Review on πŸ”§ Oil Filter Strap Wrench - Nylon Rope Tool for Efficient Removal of Various Oil Filters by Gary Shakeone

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works in tight spaces

Filter cup wrenches tend not to grip my Corolla's filter well (the filter is quite small). And there's no place to use a standard strap wrench. But it fits nicely in the tight space between the oil pan and the filter. Slip the cloth tie over the filter, manually twist the stem to secure it, and then use the 1/2-inch breaker to really twist it. The filter *WILL* unscrew (it will also be completely crushed). the only filter wrench you need for all your cars. I've never seen an oil filter that's too big for it, and it fits very small ones too (like Fram 4967 and 7317.) It also takes up less space which I bought from a local parts store years ago and probably over 40 Used a few times until the strap got a little stuck. that is separate. But I got my money's worth with it. This new one works just as well and I look forward to making my money with it.

Pros
  • You can wrap it around the filter and put a ratchet on it and it will work.
Cons
  • Expensive
