Description of πŸ”§ Oil Filter Strap Wrench - Nylon Rope Tool for Efficient Removal of Various Oil Filters

Strap oil filter Wrench. 1/2 drive and strap is around 2in . You can wrap this around the filter and fet a ratchet on it, it will work. You need space for the wrench to move alongside the filter as it turns, otherwise you can apply enough pressure to collapse the filter body. It removed the smallest and biggest oil filters in the tightest locations where a metal oil filter remover didn't fit.

Okay, get a 1/2 " ratchet, you'll need that.

The rubber tip fell off in the first two seconds of use The strap is fine, adequate The stitching is a weak point, they could easily make another row of stitches I wrapped it around the stuck filter first and tightened the strap around the Belt shaft before you apply the torque so don't worry too much about it turning, it works but not the best quality for the price, you will most likely have a 3/8" ratchet to turn the drain plug to remove, but you also get a 1/2 inch ratchet.

Pros
  • You'll need room for the wrench to move along the filter as it rotates, otherwise you could use enough force to break the filter housing.
Cons
  • There is Nuances

However, this key can be good for easy removal of the filter.

This wrench might work for an easy to remove filter but I'll never know, it didn't work when I first used it. The construction of this wrench is basically solid, but the way it is assembled is not. To be honest I removed a somewhat stuck filter. However, I had good access but was unable to apply enough torque with this wrench before the stitching on the belt came undone and the belt pulled out of the square tube. I expected to be able to apply a lot more torque with this wrench than in…

Pros
  • 1/2 drive and belt about 2 inches.
Cons
  • I'll add later

Works in tight spaces

Filter cup wrenches tend not to grip my Corolla's filter well (the filter is quite small). And there's no place to use a standard strap wrench. But it fits nicely in the tight space between the oil pan and the filter. Slip the cloth tie over the filter, manually twist the stem to secure it, and then use the 1/2-inch breaker to really twist it. The filter *WILL* unscrew (it will also be completely crushed). the only filter wrench you need for all your cars. I've never seen an oil filter that's…

Pros
  • You can wrap it around the filter and put a ratchet on it and it will work.
Cons
  • Expensive
