This jacket is made for people. So far we have used it on a rather cold day and on a cold + windy day. I bought this jacket out of frustration with the large snowballs that are forming on my dog's legs, but we haven't had snow yet. She seems warm. My only complaint, and this is too small to give a star, is that the jacket would be a little easier to close if there was a button in the neck area to keep the sides of the jacket parallel when zipping from tail to head. Love the reflective materials, lightweight fabric, lanyard hole, and the zipper that sits comfortably on the back but is offset slightly to keep the rain off the zipper. Remember that the dog has a butt like a baboon, but the jacket does not get dirty on the back. Male dogs have plenty of underbody space and both sexes will appreciate good chest coverage where they lose body heat. I could not have worn this jacket with my previous dog, who had relatively short legs. Other unusual shapes, such as B. Barrel-chested bully breeds can also have problems. My dog is an 11 lb Havanese and she carries a small one. This jacket arrived quickly and in perfect condition.
