Review on Wireless Charging Radio Alarm Clock: USB Charger, Speaker, Snooze, Dual Alarm, Dimmable LED Display (White) by Melissa Marie

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Subtle sound but cumbersome operation

The clock is discreetly tucked away in the "case" of this clock/radio combo. It's a style statement and it works like a novelty for me. What I didn't like was the controls. It took me about 15 minutes to program the first radio station. It's more than just a weird combination of long and short key presses. The fact is that the functions of the buttons are deliberately overloaded. I don't know how much you can save before users go berserk. Maybe all those clock, radio, and alarm functions can be done with three buttons, but I'm not talking about algorithms. Worse, there's no LCD panel to show which programming modes you're using. You are logged in. You can stick to public radio stations and forget it, but what happens when the battery dies? You'll have to reprogram it and you may not remember how to do it. Having to change your alarm clock frequently can be more annoying. I like that the backup batteries aren't 9v SUMMARY Good sound, readable dial, but keep the manual if you're not the type to accept those halfway quirky button-press UIs. These controls are usually reused, but I'm not used to that. You get charging capability that Google or Revain smart speakers don't have, but the voice capabilities of these new and affordable devices put those old-school projects to shame. Also, you don't have to reset the time when the batteries run out.

Pros
  • Wireless playback and FM function: Use the KIMIUP clock radio as a wireless speaker to play your favorite music wirelessly from your smartphone or tablet. Alternatively, you can tune into your favorite FM radio station in no time. with 10 FM presets. Enjoy enhanced sound quality with a passive subwoofer and 6W stereo speakers for richer bass.
Cons
  • Nothing Here
