I assure you that most of the negative reviews on this product come from people who have no idea what they are doing. It is not designed for a wick and not for a glue gun. Of course you can cut it, but it's easier to just put a stick on a hot spoon. They don't have to be shimmery, they're simple and more traditional. And while it does cause the stamp to stick to the paper like many professional wax stamps, one way to avoid or reduce this is to dampen the stamp in front of your hand either with a damp sponge or by licking it off. Now I admit. It's not the color I was hoping for, but it was to be expected, I was hoping for a dark green, it's a light green. And once it's on paper, it's more like hot glue than wax, but it got the job done, and it did it well. So I strongly recommend only sealing what your letter/paper contains, rather than turning your letter/paper into an envelope itself.
