Review on 12-Inch OXO Good Grips Pro Nonstick Dishwasher Safe Frying Pan in Black by Jasmin Rojas

As with all nonstick cookware, I was extremely skeptical of the claims made about this pan, but it works unlike a dozen others I've tried have tried in recent years. I mostly use a small amount of vegetable oil in it, but I've found that it's not essential, even with naturally sticky foods like eggs. Preheated to the right medium-medium temperature, you can crack an egg in the pan and then flip it with ease, and *that* my friends is really wonderful. I've tried other types of nonstick pans that claim this and all have failed. This is literally the first nonstick pan I've ever owned. And it still absorbs vegetable oil and distributes it evenly. Highly recommended! Two additional notes on this pan: 1) At first I used plastic silicone spatula/spatula, one of which became hard and brittle (eventually broke). There seemed to be surface marks left on the surface of the pan, but the pan still works as good as new. I ended up replacing the old spatula with an OXO silicone spatula (the small size is perfect for this pan) and it was amazing. 2) Cleaning is a breeze. Most non-stick pans recommend not washing the pans with soap unless you plan on using them for too long. I've found that this pan actually works better if you clean it with some soap. mmv.
