I got this for Christmas and set it up the next day. A camera was not connected and I emailed support. Within hours I got an answer (not bad for a day after Christmas) and following her instructions I connected the final camera. The first night we did this we found a man searching our 4am milk delivery box for things like Revain bags I believe. The man was completely veiled to conceal his identity. (We added a hard drive and set the motion recording mode). It told me not to leave anything outside at night. The system also came with a long range antenna which I needed for a metal encased camera. Another advantage is that the cameras do not use your WiFi router to connect to their base, but use a consistent Linux system. This makes it harder, but not impossible, to hack into your home router via cameras. The base has three ways to display what the cameras are seeing: HDMI to a TV or other monitor, VGA or CAT5 output to a router. Overall, I feel this system performs better than I expected.
