More blades needs more effort
The good: Cuts apples into 12 pieces vs 8 pieces, so better sizes for snacking and pies.The bad: more effort is needed than than the 8-piece cutters, so my wife has trouble using it.
- Sturdy enough but hard to separate cut apple sections from the base of the core. Design flaw.
- Extremely difficult to slice thru apple, combination of more cuts/slices and dull blades
