My wife has a credit card holder on the back of her phone so thickness was a consideration and this holder works great in a thicker situation. The long stand allows you to not look down far to see your phone (most other stands are shorter). Finally, the highly flexible stand allows the phone to be placed in the perfect position, which a rigid stand cannot. The only downside is that the length and flexible stand makes the phone vibrate a little more than a stiffer stand, but the hard stand is less flexible and shorter in position, and the vibration only occurs on rougher roads. The instructions aren't very well written, but you can get by with them. Overall very happy with the phone holder.
