Perfect! Exceeds all expectations!

I've been waiting months to review this as I usually do. This is without a doubt the best chef's knife I've ever owned. I bought the 10 inch version because the price was great compared to the 8 inch and 10 inch versions. I will buy the 8 inch version whenever I get the chance and I will say that every knife is worth the money. The 10" version is a "weighted knife" meaning the weight is about 60/40% of the balance in favor of the blade. This is intentional and provides excellent cutting action. As I see in other reviews the 8 inch knife is 50/50% perfectly balanced. The grip profile is surprisingly well suited to the human hand. I've been using it in my daily cooking for 3 months now and have never felt any regrets. True to its word, Zelite has released a beautiful 12-degree Japanese-style knife that comes out of the box sharp enough to split molecules. I've only perfected it once, not because it seemed boring, but because it made me feel better. A knife should be treated with respect as it will cut you in no time if you are not careful washing by hand or cooking after 4 or 9 beers. The damask pattern on the knife is beautiful as is the packaging it comes in and you can find many videos online showing this. You will not regret buying this knife!
