Fantastic quality. My wife was very reluctant to part with the store quality knives she had used for decades and was not interested in upgrading as her current knives were worn out. I bought a pair of Zelites as a Christmas present when I ran out of other ideas and this turned out to be a great decision. I noticed that she doesn't use any knives other than Zelites, so over time I got her some other ones. Pretty expensive but excellent quality.

Had high hopes for this knife. I was hoping it would be super sharp and would replace my old Zyliss knife which I haven't sharpened since I got it over a year ago. The Zelite was too dull for me and the unsharpened Zyliss knife handled it easily and cut through the cabbage with some pressure, but the Zelite wouldn't go and got stuck. The Zelite also had some prominent imperfections on the blade. The packaging is very nice, that's why I give it one star. I am returning this knife.

I have purchased 3 Zelite knives. The 8" and 10" chef's knives and the 4.25" paring knife are beautiful to look at and very comfortable to hold. I've used regular kitchen knives for most of my life. Impressive to switch to this level of quality, I'm very happy with my purchase. Zilite customer service is also excellent. I had a knife that came with 2 very small imperfections. I really wanted to love this knife. I was looking for a wider heel and this one fit the bill perfectly. Feels good in the hand, came well packaged and sharp. That's all good. I have attached a photo of a major surface imperfection in the center of the blade. I contacted Zelite customer support via email. It took about 20 hours to get an answer. They admitted the mistake and told me to return to Revain as damaged and they would generate a discount code to order a new one, which was fine with me.

I bought this for my husband as a birthday present. He was excited as he had wanted this knife for a long time after reading all the great reviews. Unfortunately, the excitement quickly dissipated after he opened the package. There was some kind of glue, rust and scratches all over the edge of the knife. I've been waiting months to review this as I usually do. This is without a doubt the best chef's knife I've ever owned. I bought the 10 inch version because the price was great compared to the 8 inch and 10 inch versions. I will buy the 8 inch version whenever I get the chance and I will say that every knife is worth the money. The 10" version is a "weighted knife" meaning the weight is about 60/40% of the balance in favor of the blade. This is intentional and provides excellent cutting action.
