poor quality. For one, they're aluminum and it's almost impossible to screw the brake hose bolt tight enough without leaking. especially for a 4x4, and the passenger side caliper was so soft it seemed to crack and leak no matter what. The driver's side didn't leak, but the hose moved when pressure was applied. Aluminum is too soft for a secure, tight connection. would not trust on rough roads or off-road. First I installed on the driver's side, everything went well, there were no leaks, but I noticed that the brake hose can move and not a tight connection. then the passenger side seemed pre-stripped. The screw went in very smoothly, like screwing it into balsa wood, and it leaked. The lack of quality is that the area around the bolt holes is uneven and not smooth like every other caliper is smooth with round rings, even Cheepo calipers are smooth with rings to impress the washer. the threads are terrible and the passenger side is not alienated. I have restored several cars and trucks, they just have too many problems. Now the front calipers aren't aluminum and they work great so I've now gone with the red front calipers which are sensitive while the old calipers are at the rear so now I have to use another brand of red calipers that I have one liters of GM brake fluid and spent over 4 hours. I wouldn't trust them in bumpy conditions, on a 4x4 or SUV, they're just soft and can come loose and not all the threads are screwed in properly, you can't do that with aluminum, it took 4+ hours to get it the rear brake calipers work. and was oem for 15+ minutes, pumps and everything, fronts passed as fastUPDATE;=========================== === == = ========================================= . I ordered another set, well the second set has the exact same problem, the passenger caliper, the threads are stripped and the threads are cracking at the bottom where it is needed most. I bought new screws to make sure it wasn't old hardware. I unpacked the calipers prior to installation and I had exactly the same problem with the passenger side caliper threads. I have bought calipers from another brand which are also aluminum but not as soft and threaded properly with no issues. UPDATE ====== ======================================= == == ===================================UPDATE====== ==== == == ====================================== ===== ======= ======================= I need to clarify a few things that after decades of working in the automotive world I need to point out that the thread misalignment on this caliper is so looked like it was a simple thread misalignment, these machines are constantly being recalibrated, although for some reason the aluminum is a lot softer than the original, but that's changed by - for the restoration process, which I hope too, if my review puts you off to buy these calipers. Many years have passed and I would try this company if I were you. the price for the performance is amazing, i still use the front calipers and they are fantastic, so sensitive i had to swap the front brake lines to even out the pressure on the new stock. I went back to OEM rear and they failed again after just a year, not working as usual but the front power stops are still like new, for some reason mine when I use regular unpainted calipers they don't t serve regardless of brand or OEM. I'm just saying I've changed the rear wheels to OEM AC Delco 5 times already. The front wheel drive only stops once and still like new Amazon has one of the best return policies. So it's worth trying these booster calipers. Trust me you will know if something is ok before you pour liquid. So just waste your time if they don't work. It was so obvious that the difference is that the power front brakes are much more responsive and the few yards I rode with the rear wheels were just as responsive. If they work for you, the improvement in braking is obvious.
