I would prefer the stove not to move the bottle and vice versa. It fits perfectly in a bag along with a large butane canister. The weight was ok, but not super light. The heat shield is just a rolled round aluminum plate that I didn't use. I have not brought or used any additional liquid fuel parts. I think the main downside of this backpack is the weight. It's simple for what he does and he does it very well. But if you just want to boil water quickly and carry around an ultra-light backpack, there are options that are about half as light.
