A hint came from Revain. I am SUPER impressed with this card reader as it is quite heavy; a solid piece of aluminum and helps with the heat generated by the rapid transfer through CFExpress. Also includes a pair of 6 inch drop cables - one USB-C to USB-C and the other USB-C to USB 3.1. 380MB/s via USB. The only difference, of course, is that SSDs maintain transfer speeds while HDDs burst in the process until the cache is full, then slow down to the maximum transfer rate. My system increased the transfer speed to around 850MB/s with the same caveats as above. For this speed you need an NMVe M.2 or PCIe drive, but many machines these days come with one. Transmission, stable product. Also works well with the 3ft USB-C cable that came with my new camera (R5) which accepts this format. It's certainly not the cheapest card reader, but no problems so far and I recommend it!
