So far so good with the card readers

It comes with a long and a short cable, both of which work well. So far it has worked flawlessly on my PC. I've read about some of the issues others are having with cables, speed transfer or freezing. I had no problems with that. My computer recognizes the extraction when I request it and transfers the files quickly. Let's see how long this lasts.

  • Great price

  • Style 90

XQD CF Express Card Reader

I bought this because my Nikon D850 camera now has the ability to use Express CF cards in addition to XQD cards. This allowed me to use them when traveling to national parks. No issues were encountered with the card reader and image transfer to my MacBook Pro is fairly quick. The materials seem durable compared to other brands I've come across that feel plasticky or fragile.

Pros
  • Superbly Done
Cons
  • Factor Set

Heats up during use

This is an incredibly fast card reader (write and read speeds are fantastic), but when connected to the network it gets very hot. it can get so hot that I can't touch it without burning my fingertips if I'm not careful. happen if I accidentally leave it on.

Pros
  • Still like everything
Cons
  • A dubious purchase for the elderly

It technically works

Every time I use this I have to plug it in at least 3 times for the computer to recognize it. When it is connected without a memory card, the indicator lights up. If you then insert the memory card into the card reader, nothing happens. Then you need to insert a memory card, disconnect it from the computer and then connect it. If you don't mind doing this every time you want to access your images, get it. If it's too annoying, leave it.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Good quality for the money

The build quality is extremely pleasant. It's a thick, heavy metal body and nice rubberized strips on the bottom to keep it in place. I was only able to read and write about 500MB/s, which is the 5Gbps limit for USB 3.0 (625MB/s). s), but not the advertised USB 3.1 9Gb/s speeds. This uses a card rated at 1700 MB/s. I tested both USB-C directly into my MacBook Pro and USB 3.0 into the docking station. I've also tried an alternative Thunderbolt 3 cable in case the cables that come with it aren't…

  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No version

A significant improvement over XQD.

Since Nikon recently updated their XQD cameras to support CFExpress cards, I need a card reader to take advantage of the potential for faster card-to-computer transfer speeds. This one seemed just right. In the beginning I had some problems. My first image transfer through Lightroom was clunky and slow. The test software didn't even run. I've tried a few things to no avail. Finally, I replaced the included USB-C to USB-A cable with a better quality one I had and voila! The tests went well…

Pros
  • Very good value for money

  • Unbelievable price

Trebleet CFExpress Card Reader

A hint came from Revain. I am SUPER impressed with this card reader as it is quite heavy; a solid piece of aluminum and helps with the heat generated by the rapid transfer through CFExpress. Also includes a pair of 6 inch drop cables - one USB-C to USB-C and the other USB-C to USB 3.1. 380MB/s via USB. The only difference, of course, is that SSDs maintain transfer speeds while HDDs burst in the process until the cache is full, then slow down to the maximum transfer rate. My system increased the

Fast Reader; very small problem with cable

TL;DR:1. Buy.2. If you don't connect it directly to your computer, you may need a USB-C to USB-C cable to avoid potential problems with the included adapters and docking stations. Or you can mark a direction that works. 940+/970MB/s read/write with SONY Cfexpress Tough memory card is about 7.6Gb/s connected to my Macbook Pro (2017 15 inch). My little problem is the cable when docked: this reader comes with a USB 3.2 Type A cable that has a USB A to USB C adapter connected to it connected to the
