This Maker Home Decor yarn from Bernat is unique and perfect for a 4 season throw or throw. This is not a traditional yarn. Instead, it's a knitted tube made from T-shirt material. The fiber content is 72% cotton and 28% nylon making it smooth and easy to knit, and the nylon content resists shrinkage. It's a bulky 5 weight. Recommended hook size: 8 mm or US size 11. Recommended crochet hook size: 8 mm or US size L/11. Because it's a smooth tube, the yarn won't snap or fray if you need to break a few stitches. The resulting knit is not as warm as wool, making it perfect for the Texas weather. It's strong when coiled and will make a good heavy topcoat in the colder months. I have a Pacific Variegated and it has faded teal, light teal and pea green that combine to create a nice cool beachy camouflage pattern. I bought this sea green yarn to create a contrasting border and it fits perfectly. Also, I couldn't find enough dyes in one batch, so I used as many different color batches as possible and the result is beautiful - probably because it's a variegated yarn. 3 strands so I'm happy with the quality.
