Excellent filters - value for money is almost unmatched. No frills, no brands, just top-notch performance. Filters are installed and closed in our blocks to collect all those unpleasant things that we do not want to spread around the house. As others have said, fancy packaging means nothing. A word of caution: you probably already know that these filters have a high MERV rating of 11. This is great for scavenging microparticles from the air and will certainly help allergy sufferers. However, a higher MERV rating means more airflow resistance. Many furnace systems are unable to generate the airflow needed to maintain proper efficiency with this resistance. For example, my oven works great with a new filter. The problem is that it starts a "short cycle" about 3-4 weeks after installing these filters. I understand that many people change filters as often (like me), but if the airflow is so restricted that short cycles occur when it's time to change the filter, the oven is already damaged. This is clearly not the fault of the filters, just a symptom of a fan on my unit not doing its job. The solution, as much as my allergy sufferers hate me for it, is to buy filters with a lower MERV rating. It is what it is. Just a word of caution to check your oven's specs to ensure it can handle these filters and as your unit ages you may want to consider a filter with a lower MERV rating.
