Surprisingly good for a budget monitor

I bought this monitor because my desktop doesn't fit two 24" 1080p monitors and it's easier to focus when everything is on the same screen. I was surprised and skeptical when I found this monitor because it is a 30 inch ultra wide monitor that has good reviews but little known brand. I had a Zepter monitor in the CRT era so I decided to give it a try as the monitor I had back then worked great throughout its use. Pros: - Surprisingly bright, I had to turn it down to 50%. for browser windows/pages with a white background. Very sharp colors and detail, seems noticeably better than the monitors I've had before. I can't speak to professional color schemes as I mainly use them for programming and gaming. I didn't think I would notice a huge difference between 144Hz and 200Hz, but it seems smoother still. Competitive games like CS:GO will definitely make a difference. The ability to PIP and PBP which is fantastic when I really need two monitors. I can also use the same source (main PC's HDMI and DP) for both monitors. The 4 ports allow me two dual monitor configurations, one for my work laptop and one for my main PC. is stretched and games/apps can have a "black bar" effect, which doesn't bother me much. 1 DP and 3 HDMI (DP can support up to 200Hz, HDMI 1 can support up to 165Hz and HDMI 2 and HDMI 3 can support up to 85Hz) - The OSD is extremely intuitive and the buttons at the bottom make sense. I didn't even need a manual. - Costs the same as two budget 24-inch 1080p monitors. - I appreciate the blue light reduction settings, they make it easier to see. - There are speakers and no headphones are required to use them. They're pretty decent quality for a monitor. The height of the screen is about the same as a standard 24" 1080p monitor (which I'm used to), the screen size itself is 27.8"W x 16.1"H (30" diagonal). ) Cons: - PBP for dual monitors stretches the displays to fit each other, causing both to look compressed, which is a little annoying, but there's not much you can do without both desktop resolutions to change. PIP mode can also work well to fix this if you don't mind sacrificing part of your main screen. - Black bar effect in applications that do not support the 2560 x 1080p resolution expected from an ultra-wide monitor. - The included stand is quite short, the screen rises about 6 inches above the table. Tilt is working to fix this a bit. - The backlight is dim and only glows red, but it can be turned off. - FreeSync works, but I've had some trouble getting it to work properly (although I've never had any luck with FreeSync). .I will update if I run into any issues but so far I'm very impressed. Updates after a few days of use: - The monitor can be VESA mounted using the included bracket (75x75 template) for mounting on the back of the monitor. (instead of a rack). The monitor weighs around 12.15 pounds, which is fairly light for a monitor of this size, allowing it to fit most VESA mounts. If you have a VESA mount larger than 100x100, you may want to use longer screws and standoffs as there is a small protrusion on the back of the monitor that can prevent larger VESA mounts from sitting flush when they are screwed into the supplied bracket. Some of my previous monitors had a response time of around 1ms and this monitor has a 5ms response time. I don't think it's very noticeable, but if you're used to faster response times, you can see slight ghosting in fast-paced competitive games. Like most curved monitors, this is a VA panel, so expect slower response times.
