Got this in green for my dirty sun loving beagle who often sleeps in the sun and after 8 months looks brand new. However, as always, I took pink for my dog, who spends much less time outside because she loves people and only goes outside with company and her collar is all white. It does not apply to this brand. I've found that pink, purple, and red just don't last long. If that's important to you, just don't buy pink.
