Possesses great power of swift action!

1500 watts is good power: it heats up quickly, browns and tans well. What I like best is the temperature control on this countertop unit. It's essentially a sliding infinity knob, giving you a wide, unlimited temperature range - not just 8 set temperatures, not just 10 set temperatures, not just 15-17 set temperatures. And he reacts quickly to changes. Enjoy the full 0.98 inch depth, which makes it easy to cook a hamburger on both sides at once. (To add the cheese you need to flip the top plate and place the cheese over the metal dome/bowl - just like a skillet.) It really makes a quick cheese sandwich! Plan your shifts, practice quick assembly, and make multiple sandwiches at once. You can press the cover to squeeze it. Bread (e.g. panini). Tonight I'm going to cook butternut squash slices with this skillet. I slice them just over 1 inch thick so each slice is connected to the top and bottom. I'll try just buttering the slices and then a little butter as it browns. I go deep and slow. But this device has one great thing: it's very convenient, it's easy to lift the lid and climax. One thing to know: the temperature sensor monitors both the top and bottom. There is no separate control for each side. Also, you can heat just the bottom, or the bottom and the top, but not just the top. It stands upright, and I think that's useful too. Because lying down, it doesn't fit in normal 12-inch cupboard shelves. An interesting note: I recently had a procedure at our small local hospital and noticed the eponymous brand on the medical device attached to the wall in the treatment room.

Pros
  • Home Grills and Broilers
Cons
  • Not as good as it says
