These rugs probably aren't as durable as you imagine or hope and while I haven't cleaned them yet they are a bit porous so I'm guessing they won't get clean either. We didn't buy them for legs. We bought these for our dogs at her outdoor kennel. It was hoped that the carpet would give them a place to relax on the rubble. This works well enough for two of the four, but the other two easily tore them to pieces in 3 hours. They are not very durable and I can imagine that as a base in a high traffic area they will go flat and dirty fairly quickly and will need to be replaced frequently. If you're looking for a lighter weight mat for less foot traffic, this more affordable option is likely to be right for you.
