They actually snap onto the new wheel and stay there allowing the wheel to be placed onto the hub without falling out. The aluminum rings that came with the wheel were too loose for this and need to be on the hub before you put the wheel on. And aluminum is not preferred because of the possibility of corrosion. Sooo why only three stars? stroke 60.1; the ring says it's 60.06mm - a tiny amount. However, the wheel must be mounted on the hub once they are in place. I mean FORCED. The ring nuts had to be tightened with a heavy duty impact wrench and then loosened to the correct torque. Bad thing.
