The stand is strong enough and fairly easy to install. Three reasons for a 3 star rating and why I probably won't buy it again. First, the lower brace that fits under the crossbar has a deep V shape as if made for a few inches round bar. The factory-installed crossbar is wide and flat, and the V-shape doesn't touch. So I had to flip the bottom bracket to make contact, but now all the pressure is on the top of the inverted V, which isn't as stable as I'd like. Second, ratchet straps are useless. Luckily I had some traditional straps to use, otherwise I'd have to buy new ones (and probably return everything). Ratchet straps require you to hook each end to the vehicle, which is inconvenient or easy to do. Third, the seller sent a coupon saying I would get a free gift if I left a 5 star rating. This is cheating in my opinion. Beware of the 5 star reviews you see for this product - they were probably purchased.
