Review on ProCaliber Products 10 11 711 Granite Syringe by Dee Parson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Worked great for me

I had two chips on my 5 year old granite countertop which is a mottled beige/brown/dark brown mix. A chip felt very sharp, on the edge and on top of the counter, maybe 1/8 inch wide and a bit deeper. I would call it a beep. The other chip was on the kitchen sink countertop, about 1/4 inch wide and 1/8 inch deep. The first chip had to be repaired because you could literally cut yourself on a sharp edge. The latter was an aesthetic renovation, visible both next to the sink and in the light from the window. After watching a few YouTube videos, I searched Revain for repair products. This ProCaliber repair kit had some pretty good reviews including a detailed review discussing the benefits of putting blue light on the glass to allow for optimal cure times. but not in real life. The small (easy to open) package arrived and I followed the instructions carefully. Then I used a blue curing lamp taped to the glass and let it sit for 10 minutes for minor repairs and 15 minutes for major repairs. The results were better than I expected. If I were to ask anyone to find this repair I don't think they could do it. They are smooth to the touch and very difficult to see. I have them dry and after a few days they still look great. The epoxy in the syringe will probably last a few more repairs as long as it doesn't dry out. In my experience this has been a great product and I would order again if needed. Tip: It's not clear from the instructions, but leave the curing strip on until the epoxy has set, which took me 10-15 minutes. (Actually, it's just a small sheet of plastic about 2 inches square).

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad but...
